Introducing the Metallic Fund Fashion Design Programme
As part of the ongoing commitment to the LEED (Leading Education and Economic Development) initiative, Foot Locker Europe have partnered with Metallic Inc., a London based creative agency founded by Alex Sossah & Grace Ladoja, and their Metallic Fund to launch The Fashion Design Programme.

Set to launch on 25th February 2022, the Fashion Design Programme is a ten-week intensive and immersive educational initiative aimed at young creatives with a passion for fashion, and in particular streetwear and sportswear, at the beginning of their careers. The aim of the collaboration is to accelerate the careers of some of the UK’s most promising young Black and ethnic minority creatives providing the tools, platforms and support they need.
6 talented London based applicants have been selected for the programme which include Celine Kreis, Nicole Vernon, Nigel Sununguro Matambo, Niran Nair, Pokuaa Ansere & Tianan Ding.

Housed within the new London-based Metallic Fund Space, the participants will have access to resources including a design studio, sampling workshop, contentstudio, video conference booths and a research library. The course will involve various modules, covering everything from art direction and graphic design, to supply chain management, and garment construction which will be led by a team of industry trailblazers who act as mentors to participants.
Mentors include established, globally influential names such as, Yoon Ahn (Ambush Design Founder & Dior Homme’s Jewellery Design Director), Carlos Nazario (Global Fashion Director of i-D Magazine), Ib Kamara (Editor-in-Chief of Dazed Magazine), Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt (Co-Founder of Dutch streetwear label, Patta) , Martine Rose (Founder of the London brand Martine Rose) , Florence Tetier (Founder of November magazine and Creative Director of Jena Paul Gaultier) , Fraser Cooke (Global Influencer Marketing Special Projects Senior Director at Nike), as well as our Foot Locker EMEA President, Susie Kuhn.
At the end of the programme selected streetwear products designed during the programme will beproduced andmade available for purchase, exclusively at Foot Locker’s Marble Arch storein London with all the profits from the programme going back to the Metallic Fund.
